For me it was another one of those 'was it/wasn't it' days
I suspect the side exit exhaust was prematurely tripping the start beam as one run I had a 4.700 sec 60' time recorded with a 12.48@164
Then there was a 10.64@164 with a 2.96 60' You can work that back using my best 60' of the day of 1.412 instead
Ironically those were probably the quickest launches of the day as I didn't go on amber but prepped the rpm etc and went in my own time.
All the remaining 6 correctly recorded 60's were in the 1.41-1.57 range and ET's ranging from 9.25 to 9.60
The final run that 'got away' started with a 1.470 60' then an ET of 9.25 after a boost hose popped off in a big way, bending the bonnet and smashing a headlight just as I hit 4th gear so cruised across the line at 137mph.
All considered, a good day out, fastest car of the day so I can't complain ..... One day
Well done to Paul on a new PB and for the open heart surgery carried out on his engine at the trackside
Thanks also to David Wallis for the hasty repair of my cannonballed boost pipes to allow a final run.
Tim was there but only ran once due to some issue with the car. Keiths car still isn't ready yet as far as I'm aware.

thanks for all your very honest account, still a good day all round, the high 8's for pod in oct then, your car would of not been out of place at pod yesturday, alot of american cars only running 9's and 10's, would be nice if pod on a main day like that could invite some jap cars, as demo runs, they get to the 1/8th quicker but your terminal is faster would be good to watch, and i believe the day needs you guys

Not sure on there 1/8th times, i was at pod last nov when ron kiddell ran his 9.4 against a 9 dead american car, the american car killed him till 1/8th then the jap cars come firing at the end, i would suspect the 60ft on them is a very low 1.0, and the 1/8th must be near 5.0 dead, come on andy show the american muscle how its done
