Will probably find it in a beck tomorra.
AND IT HAD ME OAKLEYS IN THE CASE.....ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Thankfully I'm back up and running again...those wonderful chaps in IT
PC was under a jacket behind the back seat. Could see the car for all but 2 mins last night.
Flamming opportunits.
The Scoob's normally completely empty. No radio or anything. Just was slack last night cos it was peeing it down, bad day at office etc....etc.

Bad luck mate - at least insurance will cover the cost (even if you've lost the data - do you have backups of what was on the laptop?)
I know that it was only for 5 minutes, but they do recommend that you don't leave coats in cars as thieves break in to see what is in and under them.

H,
You were robbed!! Were you in the house at the time? The b**tards
Hope they didn't trash the place aswell. I had an attempted break in last year but luckily they were disturbed by a neighbour.
Since then my house has been converted to the North Wales equivalent of Area 51.

It's really crap that this sort of thing has to happen. Prison is no longer an effective deterent, I reckon we need a programme of government sponsored sterilization, that'd sort it all out, maybe not immediately but give it a generation or two .
Seriously though, I'm in the habit of not even leaving the coat by itself, it just encourages the little ******* to do just what has happened to you Blackscooby.

I got pulled over in my Scoob in Farnborough yesterday for a routine check by the Police because "we're having a real problem with these being stolen at the moment". Quite happy to be pulled for checks, but my paranoia has now reached new heights. May well start using the wheel clamp every night from now on...

pretty obvious, but I've never been broken into, so...
I leave nothing in the car apart from the odd map and leave all spaces open, ie; glovebox, central lower and dash compartments, etc.
unless they want the car, there's nothing else!

I do the same - leaving all hatches open, and havingnothing showing in the car, and luckily I have yet to be broken into (touch wood).
However, never underestmate the power of sheer maliciousness on the part of the scumbags...

We had just come back off our hol's, was the wife's first day back at work, when the scoobs was broken into. Screwdriver in lock
trick, but were rumbled by alarm.
Thinking of having barrels filled or getting a pager, already purchased disklock, there goes the oilcooler for a few more months.
With reply to leaving glovebox etc. open they'll just presume you've put it in the boot and go there instead!
