Police seem to be using Blobeye's in South Yorkshire at the moment. The one's i've seen have been stickered up though.

What's the point of having cars able to "keep up"? You're not allowed to keep up due to the h&s of other road users and the ******* that have nicked the car in the 1st place are you?
I presume all your patrol cars are fitted with tracker monitors, as tracker are getting a bad rap lately

It's normally just the traffic cars that have tracker systems, not the normal patrol cars

yes we do have tracker monitors in most of the cars, even some of the focus patrol cars have them which is why ive got a tracker in my scoob.
and we are allowed to 'follow' cars too its what makes my job fun

wonfa, have you got any figures for the detection and successful "capture" of car's fitted with trackers?

not really i think you need to ask tracker, not that they would tell you.
TBH in the 5 years ive worked for the plolice the tracker in my motor has probably only gone off about 20ish times.
they do work well though and we always find them.

we got a call earlier on in the year from the council to say that they went to repair the roof of some lock up garages and they found a p1 in one which should have been empty, when we checked it was one that was stolen at gun point and been used in two armed robberies

and yes it was fitted with a tracker but they found it and ripped it out
