I thought all land between high and low tide was owned by the monarch?
thats the issue with driving on the beach, its not that your not allowed to, its the access getting to the beach thats the problem

Pendine is where top gear use, but thats south wales. If your looking for somewhere north wales then i suggest Black Rock sands at Portmadog. Not quite as long but u could still do a top speed run on there and theres pleanty of room. Dont go on a hot sunny day tho as they have patrols on there. As stated above, there is some legal issues with driving on there, I got stopped on there once, was only warned but told that the Road traffic act still applies on the beach, which means speed limits apply too!!! RUBBISH!!

its not addopted land, so it doesnt come under the same rules as the rest of the queens highway, therefore not applicable to the RTA, however,as said, there are bylaws and restrictions that cover many of the access routes to the beaches.
on saying that, causing death by dangerous driving, and manslaughter is a criminal offence, and stands up anywhere on UK mainland, so choose your destination wisely

make sure you get the sand out of the car, cant see it being to good for bearings and the likes of.
My old classic, i refrained from the do-nuts, watchin another lad, it seemed to churn up an awful lot of sand, digging big holes that he struggled to get out from.
stick to the powerslides if i were you, you dont want to fall victim to the tide now do you lol

You know that Monaro that they tested on the sands in all that salt water right, well let me tell you something about that car and what happened to it.
I got told this from one of the inspectors when i was temping at Vauxhall's in luton working in there Fleet management bit. The monaro was going to be re sold on to a customer right, but before it could, the car had to be throughly inspected inside and out. The underside of the car was not undersealed, so you know what that means, the whole of the underside was comepletely rusty and had started to rot They could not sell it on as it was in too bad a state.
