Default Reccomended Tyres !

Howdy,
Knowing my MOT is expiring soon i thought i'd check my tyres. Each seemed to have about 2mm depth until i turned my nearside wheel to view the inner side. This is bald, which i take it means my tracking is fooked but it also means i won't be able to get a ticket.
Any idea's on tyres if money's tight (not part worn) ? Where to go for deals on 4 ?
I take it Nankang are ****e, found them on Ebay for £43 a tyre + P&P. Sizes are 215/40 or 45/17

Tyres are the last things I'd skimp on IMO.

Part worn? Remoulds? Not for me, especially in a Performance car.

Tyres are horses for courses, some swear by Toyo's others say there **** and so on. As GC8 says try www.mytyres.com, last time I looked 215/45/17 Y rated Goodyear Eagle F1's were £80 each delivered. I'm going with the F1's this time.

Try your local independant tyre dealers in your area and see if they can do you a deal on 4 tyres. I know how much Goodyear and Dunlop tyres are trade price and you would not believe the mark up on tyres .

Wolfie.

Put F1's on mate. Avoid Bridgestones at all costs. My beloved STI had them on and ended up a write off partly through them. My WRX had F1's on and was like a go kart. No comparison!!

Thanks for all the info chaps. Just checked Blackcircles http://www.blackcircles.com/ and they have Pzero nero's for £80 each. Are these any good ? F1's are £98.

Winter is on it's way and F1s are way better than any others in the wet.

Thats fair enough, but your talking about an extra £80 when basically my overdraft is paying for them lol. I would have thought Pzero nero's aint too shabby in the wet either.

Sorry my mistake it is www.mytyres.co.uk and 4 Goodyear F1's will set you back £308.40 including VAT and delivery + £20 for your local tyre fitter to fit and balance them.

I've never called them sorry.

Wolfie.

Last 2 times I ordered from MyTyres I only waited about 3 days. They're pretty efficient

So . Errrr. . . . . . .stilover . .Bud . .Since when do you drive a performance car???Does the sti spoiler make it go faster???

On a more serious note, my next tyre of choice would be the Marangoni Zeta Linea . . .Cheap and effective . .
