UPGRADES BUGEYE 2001 WRX BHP
HI GUYS JUST PURCHASED 2001 STANDARD WRX BUGEYE WANT TO INCREASE BHP TO HIGH 200 INSTEAD OF STANDARD 221 .TO MANY OPTIONS OUT THERE AM A BIT LOST.NEED SUGGESTIONS ONWHAT TO DO AND WHERE TO DO IT LIVE NEAR GLASGOW SO AS CLOSE TO HOME AS POSS. IS IT A NEW TURBO EXHAUST HELP PLEASE

Full decat....... up pipe, down pipe, centre and rear box, Panel filter and a remap .... You should get around 280- 290 BHP .

Standard BHP for bugeye was 215, this was increased to 225 on the later bolbeye shape. Start with exhaust and panel filter. The bug has three cats as standard, downpipe, uppipe & centre cat. You will need as least the downpipe cat or replace this with sports cat to pass mot, the others can be changed to cat free to help free up the gas flow. After this stage would be fuel pump swap, intercooler to maybe one from later STI and pink STi injectors to give 300+
