What's the steepest incline that a Scoob can climb?
Only reason i ask is that i was going up a 30% hill at the weekend, and that's damned steep, and you could almost feel the front of the car not being as low on the tarmac, don't know if there was a measurable difference.
But it got me thinking, how steep would it have to be before there was a real danger of toppling backwards, or would the inability to actually climb the hill kick in before that risk was significant?

So was that Wrynose or Hardknott pass?
Steep buggers those 2 - quite unnerving on the way down when you cant see any tarmac beyond the bonnet...

My drive is very steep. Has so far smoked the clutch on a both a Renault Megane DCCi and a Citreon Picasso HDi.....they just sat there no foot on clutch, engines revving, no wheelspin but not moving either -both with crap drivers with bad clutch control ability - I had to get in and bail them out and got up with no problems
Once the clutch has bit you can go up anything really
I've took the subaru up some pretty deep rutted tracks without grounding (following a Hi-lux ) There were some steep spots but nothing that made it bat an eyelid
I've took a Zafira Dti up a mountain pass into a valley that was fookin steep. Gravel half way. 1st /2nd gear all the way (mostly 1st) for 3miles. Was fun, but no traction issues at all as I kept my momentum, although if I had to stop in some sections I'd have to abandon the manouver and re-start from the bottom.

Neither, actually the "Don't go down this road" hill down to Robin Hood Bay near Whitby.

Re the Audi Ski jump vid, it would have made it up there without a cable on those studded tyres....
I did a weeks ice driving in Sweden on frozen lakes and you would be supprised how much grip there is with proper studded tyres...
We even had a guy on a motorbike join us on a frozen lake... now that was awesome......
