Smile SOS Calling all Cambridge owners

Anyone in Cambridge about to give a fellow Scoobie nutter a hand? there's a few quid in it......or couple of drinks.
I just want to try and find out whats wrong with me scoob and me mates know even less about cars than me.

If by chance any ones interested I've posted the problem on general and tech.

Cheers
Gary

Can`t really give you much technical advice as bit of a duffer on that front myself.
But if the car runs there is a scoobie meet at the Plough in Fen Ditton on tuesday nite at 7:30pm. Somebody there may be able to help you.

weere you the guy in Tesco car park last nite with your bonnet up???

So your comments got the desired effect as did mine , my excuse is I'm a bit tetchy at the moment due to a bad week and lack of sleep whats yours? posts such as the ones you made are fine if directed at people you know but would you make such comments to a stranger on the street? don't think so.
.....Oh and by the way how do you know I'm not 8ft tall and built?

Check your pm

I am sure they would be made welcome

I can plug in my ECUTEK delta dash diagnostics if it helps - or do you know the problem already?

Sounds like a flash bit of kit, if you don't mind that would be great , I think the problem may be the MAF as the engine still ran when I removed it, but then I'm no mechanic so it would be good to know for shore.

Yep, that's not good! It should stall when disconnected (assuming the car is warmed up and running closed-loop).

I have an old one from my MY99 I can bring if that helps? They are about £80 from Subaru.

No probs cheers for the help, It appears as though it may have done the job as the revs went from 1500 down to about 500 when I first pulled away this morning then stayed around 5-8 when sitting at lights etc, gave it a quick blast last night (probably not a good idea but couldn't help it ) I'm going to try and get down to Extreme on sat and get a MAF whilst I'm there....Love your car by the way you'll have to take me for a spin some time.

Big HI to everyone else that was there sore some nice cars and when 4 of you left at once, wow what a sound!
