Keep an eye on ebay for those stickers.

People who put 'ring stickers on their car without ever having been round in it are sad, wannabe losers.

I'm going in the new year in my scoob (this year in a mates beemer) but I saw a Type RA Nurburgring sticker and fancied putting that on instead of the genuine ones.

Thats what I loathe about forums, people full of assumption

But if it's got an outline of the nurburgring on it why put it on your car if you haven't been round it?

If its a specialist sticker then it might not be available in Jan, so perhaps he is buying it now, but not putting it on the car until its been round the ring?

S'funny, when I was at the ring we arrived on a closed day - even then I refused to buy the sticker until I'd *completed* a lap. I was half expecting mechanical failure so I didn't want to tempt fate

I'm not 'bothered' and no it's not my car but it's a fact that putting a 'ring sticker on a car that hasn't been round it is the act of a sad, wannabe poser.

A bit like sticking a 'Knowsley Safari Park' sticker on your car if you haven't been. What, exactly, would be the point? I'd be interested to know.

Vapid you **** if you did your research you would see that the sticker was put on the spec-c type ra to commemorate the car going round the ring in a sub 8 second lap which is a feat in its own right personally I haven't been round the ring but I do have a spec-c type ra with the ring sticker on the lower front door panels nuff said btw that must make me a sad case then eh

I know what the sticker was for and if you have a car with a ring sticker on it and you haven't been round it then yes, you are a sad case.

Probably not, does it make you feel better to be a sad wannabe poser if you do it in company?
What would you say if someone interested asked you

"Oh is that a Nurburgring sticker on your car? It looks like a pretty capable Impreza what was it like to drive on one of the most challenging tracks in the world?"

something like

"err well actually I haven't driven round it I just put the sticker on 'cos err, erm, I like it"

Tragic.

It's utterly tragic even if the car comes with it as standard.

We already covered that one, it's still tragic. Can't see the value of your 'investment' going up at any point either. Still that's another subject.

'ring sticker on a car that hasn't been round it?
