Default UK Cars (Turbo)

HI Guys

As you can all see I'm the new boy and at the moment a non scooby owner , but my nice fresh bank loan will sort that out nicely

Sorry if this has been asked before (have used the search button ) or if I'm being a bit thick but what year did Subaru start selling Turbo models in the UK as being only 23 I have no hope of insuring an Import.

Thanks

Chris

my uk is a 95 n-plate about as early as you get i think.
keep an eye out for the mcrae/prodrive interior on the my95 ,a lot better than the standard. (1490quid option according to the receipt i've still got)
happy hunting

Buy the car, if you got some cash left then buy your interior
I have a 96 "N" UK wagon. It has the face lift front and an STI interior

Also the WRX and STI models, are they both import only? What should I be looking out for title wise when looking for a UK car?

Thanks

Just 'Impreza Turbo'

A giveaway is the boot should have 'S U B A R U' in chrome letters and a 'Impreza Turbo 2000 AWD' stcicker.

WRX/STi have neither of these.

If want UK try and find a UK 'Prodrive' edition as these came with Recaro Seats, better alloys, lowered springs and a dash plaque.
They didn't release many or these, something like 25 per year from 1994 to 1996.

If you can stretch to a Series McRae from 1995, that would be even better. Same as the Prodrive edition really, but with McRae embroidered on the seats and different wheels (although a Prodrive edition did have a choice of wheels, including the McRae Safari's)

Here's my old Prodrive Edition.....

I Have Got 5K sitting in the bank and that is my limit, so looks like the prodrive etc are out of the question. Really just want a good (with a couple of mods if poss) UK Turbo Car.

IM launched the UK Turbo 2000 AWD in 1994. The first cars are on an 'L' registration.

Looked like leather seats in the pic, I feel a bit better now , silver is a definite improvement on the red, very nice car mate, think I may get a silver one next time, love the detail.
