Is this car a good looking mean machine or an example of the chav-society here in the UK represented by the Subaru Impreza?

everyone entitled to own option personally i like it, for those that like standard cars thats fine , but i really dont see whats wrong with adding a nice colour or 2.
Modified cars happen for a reason and that is for the owner to put his stamp on the car and why not - of course not everyone will like it but the work is still to be appreciated.
its like adding bigger wheels - and dont tell me its just for traction or grip lol

Colour is ok, everything else on it is pants.
Providng the bodyshop did teh proper prep work to the body - which you won't see in a photo, but judging by the bodykit, I doubt it.
The fact it's different doesn't mean the quality of the parts he's bought off the shelf are any good.
The bumper mouldings probary are more ripply than the Atlantic Ocean and more ill fitting than a fat slapper trying to fit in a size 10 dress.

Andy judging from the current votes, 96% of people think the car is a munter. Which really resolves the issue nicely, I think!

It's his car and he can do what he wants with it.
I think you're being unfair, after all he only posted a pic for everyone to see. Not to be offensive etc about his tastes.
Why don't you post up your car and we can all slate it?!

I think the car looks okay as each to own etc.
im not saying keep opinions to urselfs but lets keep it polite after all we should be trying to welcome guys onto the site rather than offending them at every opportunity.

If that hideous pile of crap turned up at a Scoobymeet he'd be laughed out of the car park, and rightly so.

I think if he just made a few small mods it would look ok. Perhaps take off them crappy lights and put the originals back on. Remove them skirt things which lets be honest look a bit poo and perhaps had it sprayed in basically any colour that imprezas usually come in. Ive just realised that would make it standard. How boring am I?!

i feel that there is a difference between politness and being overly critical, i have to say im not a fan of body kits and excessive paint jobs but can appreciate the work involved and im sure in the flesh his car is probably very nice, that paint job wont be cheap and probably has a few other mods to car too beside just the outside.
If you go to car meets etc variety is the spice of life, i remember a colour change wagon a while back which actually very nice when i saw it in the flesh.
I bought my subaru because i have always wanted one, been through several cars on the way to owning one, getting prepared to be shot down in flames but i did once own a mondeo that i spent way to much money on modifying to the extent of upgrading internals throttle bodies and nitrous.
when people asked me why - i said that i wanted to be different - so why buy a mondeo in the first place ? because it is what i could afford at time. and i will tell you something
i have been a member of many forums over this years but this is the first group of guys that i have found that seem intent on ridiculing and belittling others.
im not taring all with the same brush and hey i can take banter with the best of them as well as give it out too
Im waiting now for someone to slate my post for punctuation/spelling.
maybe i should put viper stripes, some venoms and neon lights on my car too lol

I think you are being a little harsh towards 'mr_impreza'.
End of the day, if it was my car... and having that particular set of modifications made me happy.. then that would be all that counts.
Posts of 'its ****' 'laugh him out of meets' etc... are a little out of order, and i think we should have a more welcoming attitude here.
Agreed its not to my taste, but define 'the perfect taste'..
'the joys of being on the planet are found in the variety it offers.'

lol i can see this thread going to 8 pages long just debating now how **** we all are, maybe with every scooby purchased should come with a burberry baseball cap and a guide on how to be ****.
think what you need to bare in mind is that scoobs are coming down in value and are more accessible (spelling) and therefore will become the new RS
we will see more and more modified cars, 8 exhausts hanging off the end and scoobys looking like blackpool illuminations.
But at end of day so what?
im sure he is happy with it, i am happy with mine and you will be happy with yours.
Come on guys group hug feel the love again guys we all buy scoobs for one reason we like them so what if we have different views on what to do to them.
Reminds me where can i get some lexus lights lol
