Post How fast a uk spec subaru

I just bought a uk spec subaru 2000 turbo and i am really enjoying it, i have owner 3 wrx imports so this one is abit diffrent. what is the bhp for a uk spec R plate and what diffrence is it from the classic M plate wrx import.

I believe its around 208Bhp to 214bhp for a uk turbo 2000. Imports range from around 240Bhp to 276bhp. I've been in both and haven't noticed much of difference but import owners reckon they're a bit faster...I don't know for sure.
Plus you get air con, anti hijack etc. with the wrx.

208bhp or 215 bhp compared to 260ps but the gearing is a different in the UK impreza compared to JDM versions.

The 208 figure (215 for MY99 onwards) maybe a little conservative -With SUL you might be getting up to 230 or there abouts, with an unmodded UK car - Of course the condition of the engine and components may well drag the output down to under 200 if not well maintained.
