1/4 Mile Times WRX RA

1/4 Mile Times WRX RA
Maybe going over to Japfest on Sunday & if I do, will give my RA a trip up the strip.
Been unable to find 1/4 times and terminals for my car which is an MY95 WRX RA. Absolutely bog standard other than an STi b/box.
Question is, what sort of times should I expect and also what are the terminals?
Still got the limiter on it and wouldn't want to be losing power just before I cross the line lol!

Did see a RA with exhaust mods do a 13.3, I know that because I have the time slips in front off me.

[QUOTE=scoobfan]I would say around 14 secs and a terminal of around 105mph.
14 sec's No way......
My old CB900FA back in the early eighties used to do it sub 12 sec's at approx 110mph, my RA would p'#ss all over that.

Thats about a 10 sec 0-100 time in a scoob, your looking mid to low 13's in an STI RA with a terminal of about 104 mph, puts it about mid 12's to 100 mph which is about right

Last outing at the pod I ran a 14.4 in a standard WRX @ 96 terminal.
That was my second ever run to boot
PS
I'll be at santa this weekend cheering you on

Performance figures i've got for a WRX STi Version III is
standing 1/4 mile 13.3 secs@104mph/167KPH
The best i've managed at the pod in my standard type R is a 13.2@105mph, that was with a 60ft time of 1.9***secs
I'm told a good launch is in the 1.8's (60 ft)
I'm sure i can get quicker, just need to get technique right, and take into account where others have had their 1/4 mile recorded. peoples times always seem to be quicker at other drag strips, dunno if its to do with surface or timing gear etc?

I ran a 14 sec 1/4 mile in my RA at the pod back at the Japshow in June and that was with an overheating problem and the car not running well at all.The temp kept rising really high in the fire up lane so by the time i got to the start the car was well too warm The car didn't feel like it was pulling well through the higher gears either. I would of thought with the car running well you should manage a low 13's no problem possibly even high 12's . My car was more or less totally standard btw.

James,
Give me your keys and I'll get it in the 12's no sweat!
If it's dry I may even take mine down..... have done some testing down Brunters recently, getting 0-60 in high 3's and 0-100 in mid 9's (in very hot conditions). Would love to get an extremely low 12 or high 11 at it's current spec on a nice cool day down the 1/4..... probably the last chance to do it before the spanners come back out.
regards,
Shaun.
