Ok so it's friday and i switched off my brain about an hour ago...which doesnt help

so here's the wiring......

I have two wires from the motor of the electric windows .......
(to the switch connector in the door)

Three wires from the connector in the foot well .......
(to the switch connector in the door)


But i have just realised how do i get the window to go Either Up or Down ?????????????????

A USA site says as follows .....

Left Front Window driver door switch = (Up/Down) blue - blu/red

Right Front Window drivers switch = (Up/Down) white - wht/grn


How am i going to do this bypassing the non-existant wiring for it...........

the rocker switch one way is up and the other way is down i get that much but next up is the relay.........

?????

LOL now i get it sorry i was in the garage scratching my head rather than wathcing the soaps, you'll have to excuse me

Anyway it wasn't my fault app. phil sacked me before i finished the wheel (so the girlfriend tells me )

Simple really

There will only be 2 of those 3 wires related to the window

When you press up the switch applies a voltage to the wires going to the motor or relay, when you press down it apples a voltage to the wires with the polarities reversed

note don't know if this is the correct polarity - example only

_______________________________________up ____ + / -
______________________________________down ___ - / +
Left Front Window driver door switch = (Up/Down) blue - blu/red

_______________________________________up ____ + / -
______________________________________down ___ - / +
Right Front Window drivers switch = (Up/Down) white - wht/grn

The switch has a bit more to it than just on and off

It's for a classic 96 type RA, my problem is that it doesnt have the wiring in place other than the door so i think i have got to make my own relay to do the switching and am not too sure how it needs connecting........

minty i butcherd an old loom got loads of relays and the plugs if that is going to help you need to let me know which one it is and you can come round and grab it only live in wolves so let me know and maybe sort something out
