As above. Seen a few 2000 W and X reg ones advertised with and without. Been on Parkers and SIDC to try find out, but to no avail. Anyone shed any light?
Do ANY UK ones have air con?
Cheers.

It was a £1500 dealer fit option in mid '99 when I ordered my Turbowagon for that September. Ripoff price that.
I didn't select it and I think it went down to £995 for 2000.
Then Bugeyes came along with factory fit.
Doesn't bother me but there is the old resale thing.

Vegescoob is exactly right, it was a £1500 option on the classic, dropping to £995 for MY00. No cars actually entered the UK with it, it was always installed by a company called Coolair prior to delivery. It could also be retrofitted at the same cost.
For MY01+ it was standard and fitted at the factory.
JDM imports came with automatic climate control, not available in the UK.. Not sure whether this was standard or an option.

My00 W reg, I've got it! As above, I wasn't that bothered about it, but sounds good when you resell.

The original owner of the 97 classic i had elected to have a sunroof instead of air con at a cost of over £700. I wish he had chosen the air con cos every time it rained the sod piddled in!
