This is a scooby forum, so buy the scooby but..........................
Personally I would hang onto the 350Z as there is a radical change with the Impreza as it's rumoured to be a hatchback in the near future.
Equally so, if they fu$k up like they did with the bugeye then the last saloon Impreza could be a winner.
Personally I am not a gambler with these sort of odds, I prefer to set fire to my money, at least I know whats happening.

I have a 350z at the moment too and am going to look at changing it for a scoob tomorrow. MY05 for me i think. I have never owned a scoob before but its one of those cars i just have to own. Ive been through my hot hatch phase, had the Z for 6 months or so, so now its time for 4WD! The Z is a cracking car it really is, but the warranty is almost out and I want a lower mileage, newer car in warranty. It all rests on the test drive though, I've never driven one. The one Im going to see has PPP (which is a pre requisit for me), so hopefully the extra grunt will make it fun. Im a bit bored of the Z's pace now. What do you guys think. Has anyone driven both? Im looking forward to playing with DCCD

Overwhelmed with jelously re your quandry.
The real fun with the Z is the drift tendancies so i'm told. I have also heard that the engine is a bit 'flat'. Try a STI PPP and I am sure you will change. The DCCD can provide the same driftting thrills too.
Test drive is in order.

Yeah the torque curve is very flat. Good for economy and driveability, but I like a bit more excitement. I came from an Ibiza Cupra which threw all its power at me in one lump, so natrually, the Z feels slow in comparison. It isnt, but I like the feeling of a surge in torque. Excited about my test drive. Only thing that worries me is the possible depreciation with the sti.

Do you need 4 seats and 4 doors?
If the answer is yes get the Impreza (or even better an EVO )
If the answer is no, keep the Zed and get to the Nismo shop!!!
The Zed has a lovely sounding V6, a rear wheel drive chassis and a lot more class than a chav'd up saloon
