Shell V Power MPG
I've always ran my MY96 STI on Optimax and would regularly get 160-170 miles to a full tanks. Since changing to V Power I know see 210 miles per tank??? Although I do feel there is a slioght hesitation through the gears, I can't believe the difference in MPG. My driving style hasn't changed at all.
Has anybody else seen a difference in MPG with their Scooby????

Talk of mapping isnt relevant if the fuel has a higher calorific value. If that is the case then you simple get more work for a specified throttle opening in any given situation; hence either more MPG or more 'go', depending on how you react.

Normally got 23mpg with Optimax.
After a couple of tanks of V-power worked it out again...... 22mpg.
So, as I would have expected, no real difference.
I think you are deluding yourselves if you think you are getting 25% better mpg.

About a 40 mile increase per tank for me too.
On optimax a full tank would at a push last me 4 trips to work and back, now on v power I can easy do 5 days (work round trip = 35 miles)
No difference in driving style, journey is along 2 roads, a motorway and fast a road.

Nobody will get a 25% improvement in economy given the same car and driving style from a change to a slightly higher octane fuel. To suggest it's possible displays detachment from reality.

Saab consistently did between 23 and 24 on Tesco 99 (can't remember how much on Optimax), now circa 28 on V-Power after 3 tanks, and it feels a hell of a lot more responsive.

Ever since I started using V-power I have found friends and collegues hold me in higher regard , women find me irresistable, my bank maager is simply drenching me with cash, I can maintain and stronger, more powerful erection, I have the solution to world peace formulating in my mind. I have found that by rubbing it into my scalp it has promoted hair regrowth, that using it as shower gel not only exfoliates, but also leaves a ph-neutral healthy on my heavily muscled torso (thanks to v-power injections).
Not noticed any significant changes in MPG though.

I often get an extra 20 miles before the light comes on with V-Power.
Nice that it's 93.9 near me too
On another note, I didn't realise until today that it says on the cap that I need to use 98ron or higher! My Mrs keeps going on about me 'wasting' money on the more expensive fuel. I've actually got some reason for using it now
