Hi all,
Been on here for a while, and from this Friday i will be the proud owner of a 2002 wrx ppp![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm having a niggle with my insurance company though!!
They dont seem to understand ppp!!!?
I rang them up earlier and they bought up a quote i had taken a month ago for a 2003 wrx without ppp, adding £190 to my annual premium.
Yet when i told the silly sales person it had ppp, she drew a blank and started asking me questions like what changes have you made to the body work, what % increase in bhp and torque is it!
My quote then rose from £189 to £280, before she asked how much ppp is to add to the car - which i said about £1500 according to the subaru website.
Then she said, oh well let me just enter that into the system (i waited 5 minutes) only to hear it had risen again to £425.
Is this right?? I'm with Priviledge - i felt like sending them my cheque book!!
Other than my little gripe with the insurance company I cant wait.
Nick.

1600 blimey.
I spoke to them again today and they've bought it down to 400, although it appears that becuase the ppp was not properly available as "standard" on 02 models they have to treat it as a conversion, hence why i'm paying the extra for it.
Just out of interest i got a quote from them at the same time for an 03 STI with PPP and guess what! it worked out cheaper by £30 than what i'm paying for my 02 ppp? work that one out!!!
Forget insurance ive paid for it now and looking forward to friday.

Is that £425 on top of your annual premium? What's the total?
Quite a few people have found that PPP lowers the cost of insurance! Maybe ring round a few specialists when renewal time comes up.
Welcome and get some pics up

Be VERY careful. It sounds to me that she is treating this as a body mod rather than a performance mod. Could be VERY costly if you need to claim.
Always worthwhile shopping around and Performance Direct not only did the business for me almost as cheaply as others but fully understood what PPP was. I paid the few pounds extra rather than going with Direct Line (I think) to rule out the possibility of misunderstanding what PPP is.

Yep, try A-Plan (google it).
£650 for Ecutek'd 01 WRX with Prodrive springs etc. Others have done better than that.
However (and I work in insurance claims !) , give them another ring and ask them to send a letter confirming that you have disclosed the PPP performance modifications to them !
Enjoy Nik !
