There isnt much that can pull away from a P1 easily mate. Did you do it in your RS Turbo.

A P1 is actually classed as a supercar and in a straight line they are quick, maybe the owner wasnt going for it
What car were you driving ?

Easy tigers! Give the fella a break (he says zipping up own flame suit.....).
I don't post my own number plate or those of other people - but have never quite understood the real risk of doing this? How is it worse than someone in the street seeing your number plate and simply copying that?
Am not being arsey - just wondered what vews on this are.
Essexrsturbo - er... welcome to the forum....! I've put a few posts up about my view of the P1 so if you do a search might give some useful info (quite old threads I think - couple of years back or so?). They do sht all over the standard 2000 turbo, but only become really potent with a remap and basic breathing mods. Can suffer from heat soak, and if you're in the wrong gear and off boost then always takes a while to come back from that. Also, maybe the guy didn't fancy racing you.

Im not doubting you but how could you possibly keep traction through most of the gears with that much power in a front wheel drive car and beat a 4 wheel drive car with 280bhp and you were running 290bhp, and the power to weight ratio is not that much different, im guessing that your car still ways over 1000kgs? and you still left him easily.
