Lads,

Has anybody any info on getting your cars chipped. I have the 2.0 Sport model. Has any body done this to their car.

Does any body thrust them, or know of anything about Superchips..

rgds,

Colin

Hi there

I had a 2.0l vectra (err, yes i konw - someone had to have one!) chipped by a Superchip franchised outlet. performance not far off of the 2.5SRI we had @ work after the upgrade
took it from 140 bhp to around 160bhp + 15% more torque

I could certainly feel the difference
fuel economy 'bout the same

Will void your warranty if you have a warranty.

only drawback with mine was that i had to make sure that the Vauxhall dealer did not update the software on the chip whilst servicing or i had to go back to the fracnchised outlet for a reprogramme - not a big deal reallythey have a site to check compatibility and stuff

Out of interest would a badly chipped car blow head gaskets (amongst other things)with some frequency.

Cheers

I've got My99 Sport, and have done or looked into modifying it performance wise as much as possible. It is highly advisable not to put a chip on the sport model by Subaru (invalidates the warranty) and also by Superchip and by performance garages. I don't know the real cause of what happens but i am only telling you what i've been told.

Id you do it, please let me know how you get on
