Why is nobody interested in my spoiler?
You may have noticed that I have a post in the for sale section for my WRC spoiler. Its the real deal, carbon fibre, off the 2001 World Rally car.
I was expecting to be inundated with offers but not a dicky bird!!
Why is nobody interested???

I gently prodded the other half whilst watching the Oz rally the w/end about the WRC spoiler.
"What do you think to that spoiler? See, it has vertical slats"
(Note to self, don't mention size!)
"You're not thinking of one of them are you?"
"Errr....i was, but i think it's too big too"
D'oh,
Would love to see one in the flesh...

An answer like "its too close to Christmas" is the sort of constructive answer I was expecting.
Thanks all the same.

You should be able to send via Titan Service with applicable insurance for £65 + VAT. So that estimate is about right.
One reason i can think of is that the signatures have worn off and just lOOk like black dots. When C.McRae signed my t-shirt, it has almost all worn off

If I were selling that spoiler on ebay I would change the £100 postage cos it is probably putting people off bidding. It wont be more than £30 so change it to that

If you see something on Ebay that says p&p £50-£100 you're expecting to be fleeced for the £100, end of story..!
What you should/could have done was left delivery cost open by saying buyer collects or arranges/pays for it.
Better still is to have done your homework and found out the actual price for UK delivery with say £5 on top in case it's a bit more.
Either way most people who buy off ebay are aware of being fleeced for P&P so it's not surprising that at £100 nobody wants to know..!

OK you want a straight answer, I'll give you one (a few actually):
1) You have no picture. Remember, a picture paints a 1000 words so at least people will know what your quacking on about
2) Post a price, or at least a gestimate. If its a low price it'll tempt people.
3) A full WRC spoiler is an aquired taste, to be blunt: OTT
4) (and most important imo) Your not an established user. You have only been registered for a short time, and only have a low number of posts. This is the equivelant to a brand new eBay user bidding on your item and claiming to be the Prince's cousin of Uganda, then wanting it exported overseas with payment via Western Union.
Hope that helps

The "advert" on here was to simply generate interest. If people are genuinely interested then they will PM me for the eBay item number. Then they are free to bid what they please.
The auction on eBay started at £1 with no reserve. Granted I may have made a mistake by putting a £100 delivery charge, but I will not be charging this unless that's what it costs. Like I say, I am a good honest ebayer and will not be "fleecing" people.
And even if I were to charge £100 for delivery, people always take that in to consideration when bidding. Whether you like the spoiler or not, we all know its worth more than £101 so there isn't really a problem, is there?
Keep 'em coming...
