Smile Scoobnewb

I got my 97 turbo 3 weeks ago and I'm still loving it but need a couple of questions answered,

1. Where do I get a Subaru 555 blue touch up pen?
2. Where do I get a new headlamp washer/squirter thing?
3. How much do you reacon to get 4 knackered (and I mean shagg*d) 17" prodrive alloys refurbed and wheres best to so this?
4. Get a low speed knocking in rear wheel areas - seems like suspension? cars done 78k on original set up (I believe) - any ideas?
5. Best mod to begin with? running on 1 cat STI exhaust at the mo but no other mods (apart from wheels)

Any help gratefully appreciated from a smitten scoobnewb

1) Dunno, ask a dealer
2) Grade A, and several others:
Breakers - Subaru
3) You should be able to pick up a 2nd hand set off here for a few hundred, if they're too damaged to be repaired. I sold my 04 STi alloys and tyres (12k) for £250.
Refurbing will be locally to you. Roughly £35-50 per wheel inc powder coating.
4) Wheel bearing?
5) Filter & Decat exhaust + all important remap, is a good starting mod. Others include whiteline suspension parts, or fast road pads.

Cheers.

Which filter / induction kit you'd recommend?

Depends on your level of tune or modifications you're planning.

A high flow panel filter (green/K&N) is normally adequate. If you're going to fit a Front Mount Intercooler, then you'll need an induction kit. RCMS is highly recommended, there's also the APS and K&N Typhoon one.

An induction kit will require a remap though. I fit an IK to my 96 turbo, without a subsequent map and fooked the engine. Costly mistake!!
