Naughty Dealer ??

Earlier this year I bought my first scooby- a 2001 WRX. Got it from a main dealer so felt happy that everything was above board.
Loving the car, but I have now found out that its a EU import. I know it was upto me to know what I was buying but I didnt think that main dealers sold imports and the car I bought certainly wasnt displayed as an import - nor was it mentioned by the sales man.
Before you tell me "you know what thought did" I realise - but I now think I have paid over the odds for a car I believed to be a Uk but is infact a 5k cheaper import.
What can I do ?? - Any sensible advise would be appreciated

Your car's now 5 years old, so what's your issue with it being an EU import?
You've no doubt got 1 yrs warranty from the supplying dealer, so what's the difference between the car you've got & a UK model? At this age when the car's outside the manufacturers warranty the price difference between UK & EU models is negligable, certainly no way near £5k!
Relax enjoy the car!

EU cars arent 'imports' in that respect. There is another thread somewhere where someone who claims to work for a dealer has stated that EU cars arent ever sold by franchised dealers.....

All Impreza`s are imported into the UK or have we started making them over here now?
if not then would imagine UK cars are imported from the EU somewhere so if this is right,YES its a uk car and YES its an import
