Default Newbie needs advice(wrx or uk turbo?)

Hiya, basically been looking at a few cars recently and have narrowed it down to these 2.

1: uk car, 94, 90,000miles with FSH, leather, few mods and very well looked after

OR

2: wrx, 94, been in UK since 2003, 75,000miles, UK history with cambelt change recently, totally standard.

Which would you all go for?

Cheers, Gav

But the seats look as though they have little or no support at all. Prefer the WRX seats by miles!!!! Other than the seats though, how much difference will ther be performance and running wise?

if its your first scoob maybe better with a uk car however there will be plenty on here who will say JDM everytime.Do tend to get more for your wonga with a Jap car
Jap more power out of the box than uk cars.

Had a Legacy turbo before with an Impreza engine so it was nippy enough. Want faster now though, so i'm thinking WRX more and more.....

Can't quite stretch to Sti money at the minute as i'm also buying a house
Insurance is no problem on the WRX or the UK car.

Should add that the UK car has 1month mot/tax and the WRX has 5 or 6 months. Thanks for the welcomes by the way

Hmm, i'd love to do that mate, but i have to fly over from Northern Ireland and get a ferry back all in the same day due to work!! And the cars are miles apart so i have to be sure which one i want. Obviously if i get there an it is a dog i'll walk away, but i'm in contact with both owners and finding out as much as i can an getting pics of EVERYTHING!!!!

dont get any car that has only got 1 months MOT on it!!!!!!!!!!!! make sure you get a 12 month ticket put on whichever you decide! If you can only afford to spend between 3-4K imo a scoob is not the car you should be getting! an engine rebuild on the wrx will cost more than the value of the car if the worst should happen!!!!

I could spend a bit more but i'm in the middle of buying a house so want to keep some spare? How much is a rebuild out of curiousity? The car has plenty of receipts and history for engine work carried out btw

depends who you go to but prob looking at 3.5k+??

If i were you i would buy your house first, get settled and then look to buy a scoob! you will then have a clearer pic of how much money you have to spend etc, this is what i have done, i bought my first house in november last year and am now starting to look for another scoob now after getting my house sorted!
