Nearly had the all time record for my shortest journey to work this morning - 51 miles by car/train and got just 200 yards down the road before being greeted by the local version of Rutland Water across the road.
As you cannot see bu66er all out of the side window of a Scoob (no i'm not a PORG) the best way - before you get in too deep - is to open the door and keep an eye on the water level on the sill.
Having measured it after last week's flood, can tell you that halfway up the plastic sill protector on a MY00 is approx 8-9" water depth - and enough for me!!
Just got through. Raining now - bet it will be the same again tomorrow.
