Question Nokia N70

Anyone got a Nokia N70?

Mate has one of these, and bought a new case for it, which will not start the camera when u use the slider on the back. There seems to be a piece of plastic missing which is needed to do it.

Anyway is there a way to turn the camera on without using the slider?

Ta.

He hasn't got an imaging menu, just camera menu. When he goes into it, it says hardware failure, reset camera, because of this new back slider.

There must be another way of turning it on, surely?

I have an N70 and I am not happy with it.
It was supposed to be an upgrade on an Orange Nokia 6230 which was far better for me.
The replacement does not indicate when I have voice mail waiting, the answer phone cuts in regularly, even when I am in good reception and the address list is not alpabetical. eg if I want Mum I go through ALL the mobile numbers before I come to Ms. The logic defies me.

Any comments or observations from other N70 users?

I have an N70 and its a pita.

Battery hardly lasts any time at all, and seems to go from 3-4 bars to nothing within a 5 minute phone call.

I'm not sure whether its the network or the phone, but I frequently get people trying to ring me but the phone never rings, I don't get the missed call, and now I'm not getting VM's either.

Thinking of moving to a Sony Ericsson next time!

In all fairness, the mine's not too bad - the only thing that winds me up is the speed of it. The OS is just too slow.

I've had none of the issues stated above.

There have been several firmware updates which have improved the phone no end though........ perhaps that might be worth investigating.......

My real issue is what to get next, due an upgrade in a couple of months....

Dan
