high Miles prodriveor wrx STI
Guys..
newbie here so hello to you all and please forgive me as i am now converting from civic type r land to scoobyville.
got a couple of questions and could use a little info
going to look at a couple of scoobys today one is a prodrive 51k and has on it fsh other is a wrx sti 27k on it
both have full service history.
just wondered how do scoobys take miles ??
I know depends on how driven and alike
on another thought can you upgrade the ecu for the later car to prodrive spec.I see there is a mention of it in the Faq but not much more info.
regards

You have to be careful, i am not sure exactly what model years you are looking at but the prodrive model may be styling update rather than engine package. You need to ask exactly what are the "prodrive" items on the car.
Also age of the vehicle and looks, i.e 2003 looks different at the front from a 2002 model and then there is newage from 2001 and classic up to 2000.
All models from 1999 onwards are easily upgraded to prodrive ECU,s models before that can be upgraded also but not as easily and normally now that they are out of warranty owners look for more cost effective means of tuning anyway.
For me i would go for the best deal i.e price and year with the lowest mileage.

If the car has been regularly serviced a Scooby will rack up big mileages no problem. I just sold my 340 bhp STI with about 50k on the clock and it still felt as tight as a new one. My Classic did 100k and still burn't virtually no oil and drove great
