Cool

Hi All.

Had the MY01 fitted with the PPP on friday, after some 2.5 months of waiting.

IT WAS WORTH IT!!!

Car sounds superb, major grin factor, and performs one hell of a lot better.

Fett.

Had my PPP'd MY01 on a dyno run today and got:

252 BHP @6233 RPM
235 lbs/ft @4000 RPM (approx)

Power is better than advertised, but torque appears to be well down.

However, these are just figures at the end of the day and the car is just fantastic since PPP was added.

After spending a day at Donington getting through 3 tanks of fuel in my screaming Elise I was very happy to drive home in my nice refined quiet MY01.
Question is, does the PPP make it any more noisy at, say, 3000-4000rpm in 5th? because this is a crucial factor for me.

Question

The has probably put your insurance up, roughly by how much?
I have a MY01 WRX, and it does seem sluggish after my Catalunya.

I may have to clock up some overtime also.

First Impressions.

Ok. well here goes.

Was waiting for the thing to be done, getting all impatient and that, garage chap comes up and says its done and now sounds like a beast, so i walk to the car, firstly i see the nice large Prodrive exhaust which is a major improvement of the the twin standard thing, i get in turn they key and roar, ok, so this ain't my car anymore, well at least not the one i came in with, it no longer sounds like a purring cat, more like a roaring lion, and just sitting idle, the sound is divine.

Get in drive off, wait for a nice bit of road to test it on, whoosh, yep this is much better, when i test drove the Impreza it had a PPP on it and i always thought that mine was somewhat under powered in comparison, but no longer. HUGE GRIN time.

Pull up along side other drivers at junctions and they turn and give you a look now, since they can hear the lion. The PPP massively improves the car, as to whether it's worth £1600 you pay for it is a matter of opinion, i feel anything you have done on cars is massively overpriced, from filling the petrol tank to a service, if you catch my drift, fortunately i have a lucrative job and had budgeted well in advance for the PPP so it's not a big deal.

If i was slightly more conservative i would ask myself why i want to spend £1600 quid on making an already quick car faster....

My mates all say the car is ******* quick now, much quicker than before, it is noticable in my opinion, but i do feel it is an expensive upgrade.

My thoughts, Your choice!!!!

If you want the MY01 to be something special then PPP is a must, but its should come with it as standard....
