Default Car manual?

Does anyone know if there is a haynes manual or workshop manual etc for a 1995 scooby WRX,i bought the "you and your subaru" haynes book and it turned out to be a history of book...grrrrrrr!.All i want to do is identify parts and simple faults etc instead of handing garages large wedges of cash for prodding and tutting!

On this Subaru are *****.

Haynes don't do a Manual. My "helpful" Dealer offered to sell me a Workshop Manual fo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> a mere £350!

Tried the CD's on E Bay and stuff WOT.

Shameful the way Subaru treat their followers in matters like this.

That's a bit unfair.

You can't blame Subaru for the fact that Haynes havn't bothered making one of their manuals for the Impreza.

And the proper Subaru workshop manual is just that, a manual for use in their workshops to do absolutely everything, so it's going to be expensive and, to be honest, not really what you want at all. But you asked and they told you what it costs. Think yourself lucky, if they'd said £100 and you'd been tempted and bought it then I think you'd have soon been here complaining that you'd wasted £100 on something that was too technical and useless without the myriad of special tools and electronic gizmos that go with a modern franchised dealer.

Best move I think would be a concerted email campaign to badger Haynes into making what you, and no doubt many others, really want, an Impreza Haynes manual.

Most of the manuals available on CD are for American market cars. This is because manufacturers/import concessionnaires have to make manuals available. New Age manuals for turbocharged cars can be quite useful, but there wasnt a FI Classic made for the American market so theyre not much use at all.

Back to the "***** bit."

I actually went to the time and trouble of asking Haynes why they didn't make one.

They said that Subaru were non coperative. If you look in Halfords, the last time Subaru cooperated was with the JUSTY!

I even was staying at the Pub oposite Haynes manuals in Somerset & got talking to someone who worked there and gave me his impression alomng these lines although, he was too polite to say so.

Scoobys are great, so are the owners, sometimes I think the brand takes us lot for granted.

So after the Market research, in my opinion, on this one, Subaru are *****!

I would also say, that as a paying customer who has supported the brand, I feel let down by the. It is a claculated response and not, a knee jerk non substaniated rant.
