Default which subaru ?

Hi guys/gals

i am in the market for a new subaru between 8-9 grand but cant make my mind up which one to get at the mo i have a classic wagon but want something a bit faster ( 300 bhp ) any help will be appreciated

If you can stretch a bit more i'd say get a bug eye STi !!!! loads of potential

you already have a classic why waste your money on a newer one, spend a few K on your current one and it will run rings round anything you can buy for 9k.

That budget puts you firmly in Bugeye-land.

Bugeye STi - if you like the lOOks
Type R
NewAge WRX - if lucky or high miler

or spend it on choice mods on your car, will break 300 easy. Could also get a diesel run around with the left-overs too.

thanks guys but i was thinking of something with a little less miles on as mine is coming up to 100k mark

really like the look of the classics over the bug eye but i hear the sti classics tend to need re-builds all the time

I really wouldn't go from a classic to a bug-eye STi. Unless its been fettled, be prepared for massive understeer and horrible lag. For that money a nice RA or R should be manageable.
