Smile Powerstation remap

Well after decades of waiting for an ecutek remap on my sti, i am taking it to Powerstation tommorrow.

120 miles is a bit of a trek but looking at their reputation (and price ) i think i have made the right choice.

Cant wait !

Or keep your money in your pocket and spend it on something which won't break your car????

Re-Maps Money for old rope ... change a few DATA Bits and charge a foookin fortune!! Good work if you can get mugs to sign up to it

Buy a pair of cheap headphones, and old laptop, some geeky glasses and spend 10 minutes changing the map (and 4 hours acting like you're doing something!)

Fools and their money

Good luck though ... check your breakdown policy and dig the emergencey number out

Pete, you could always challenge someone who's had an "old rope" remap to a competition to quantify the benefits!

You'd look great in racing goggles and a scarf, puffing on a cigar whilst screaming at the peasants to get out of your way and pay more attention to the road rather than their kn(c)ocklinks!

Good luck with the remap. Hopefully they won't make any mistakes that aren't there fault ( ) and you'll be one of there pleased customers. Are you chasing figures from going for the remap or want more power and better driveability on the road. If your after the latter it might be worth considering one of the very highly recommended road mappers.
Good luck either way.

Went to Powerstation for suspension work. Very professional and one of very few garages that have actually got the car ready on the time they said it would be. Which gets a big thumbs up from me.

Shame they're 350 miles away

Had MY00 mapped on the road which i was very happy with but wanted to run a little more boost after a few months, so i gave powerstation a call for a remap. Put the car on the rollers, they increased the boost very slightly and what ever else they do, what a HUGE improvement, drives loads better. Powerstation and mapping on rollers gets my vote.

Rich is a top bloke. And boy can he remap a car.

Mines been mapped by Rich on over a dozen occasions, each time squeezing more out. Hence to say my car goes like stink and I'm well happy.

Its a 136 mile trip for me and well worth it.

You won't be disappointed

Never entered into a dialogue with this gentlemen before or replied to any of his comments but a few quick points I feel at pains to point out are:-

Mr Lewis do you actually drive a subaru impreza turbo of some type, my understanding was yes!! You have a distinct hatred of anything modified was another inference I understood from your posts. I have 2 comments to make:-

The internal combustion engine was not originally fitted with a turbocharger to my knowledge and therefore your vehicle has been the result of someone at some stage MODIFYING an internal combustion engine by fitting one.

Secondly man evolved originally from apes by natural selection, curiosity and a series of coincidences and flukes. The automobile has evolved in a similar manner. However much you dislike/disapprove of modification, it is curiosity and it is only by experimentation that the we evolve. If you remove this from the equation we would still be apes or even primevil slime in the mud. I think even you would have to agree that it would very difficult to enjoy life, however bitter, in that form.

Just a quick point!!

By the way, forgot to add that last Friday my car was mapped by Rich at PowerStation and amazingly enough after 500miles it hasn't melted, blown up, detonated or anything other than made a reliable 329bhp and 383nM of torque out of my humble 05 WRX estate.

Good company with honest knowledge and service!!

What scientific proof do you have of evolution or even one half man/half ape anywhere in the world 'Just a point' best to stick with cars and the powerstation debate or we could go off on a big tangent.
