Question could anyone please tell me whether they have heard of the paper clip test.

aparently theres something paper clip test to find out which fault code your car has

You stick the paperclip across pins 4 and 7 of your cocklink and the lights flash in a random manner ..... count the flashes and look up the code in the mickey mouse book of **** *****

I do it on my ZTT where you bridge 2 contacts in the diagnostic when you insert the key to reset the service intervals. Never heard of it on Scoobs though.

Used to do that on my old MR2 Turbo. Things have moved on with the scooby. You just plug some connectors together under the dash.
