It's a little hard to seen in the graph you posted, but your power, & torque don't appear to cross at 5252rpm ? You can check this on the original.

If they don't cross at that point, the figures are incorrect, no if's, or but's, they are wrong.

Realistically, to get 413ftlbs of torque @ 3450rpm from a 2.0lt, you would have to run over 2 bar of boost.

Now if you had a 2.5lt engine, it's very possible, but the graph still looks wrong.

Just out of interest, why should the power and torque cross at 5252rpm?

Cheers,

Basic mathematics: bhp = torque x rpm/5252

Power is calculated by touque, revs and the magic calculation constant 5252. Which, when plotted on a graph of the same scale shows both curves cross at that particular rpm.

The above graph has the BHP scale different to the torque scale, so it doesn't cross at 5252rpm. It doesn't mean the graph is wrong, just the plot BHP scale on the left is in different increments to the torque scale. For it to it to cross at 5252 they need to be plotted on a graph with identical tourque and bhp scales (if that makes sense )

If you look at the BHP @ 5252rpm its roughly 345bhp (blue curve), now look at the torque scale at 345lb/ft and follow across, you'll see you'll meet the torque curve (red curve) at 5252rpm. So the figues are right, just the scaling is not done in the normal manner.

My mistake, I should have said that they should cross if they use the same scaling, which having looked at the graph again, they don't !

I wish the rolling road operators would use the same scaling, otherwise it just distorts the graph.

Yes i have said before it IS a 2.5L motor not a 2.0L

I thought all 06 sti's were 2.5L other than the spec c's

So whats the verdict??? does my print out seem genuine or what

Sorry but I still think something is wrong there.

A Type 25 puts out that kind of torque figure and that's with supporting mods (cams, different heads, different turbo etc). I just can't see you getting that kind of torque figure from a CAT back exhaust, filter and a re-map. Realistically I would've said around the 340/350 lbs ft mark.

Picks up nicely at a decent rpm (250lb/ft @2500 ) seems to drop off quite a bit though. What gear was this run taken in? Have you a plot of the turbo pressure? I'd guess it overshoots a bit when it kicks in before the wastegate has chance to reigns it back in (thus that shove in the back) .

Is there a correction factor or temperature used for correction on the dyno sheet?

How do you save the graph image to .jpg from an excel file..?

Not very good with excel and can't see anything obvious, like right clicking etc..

Open the chart, click the outer edge, then edit, copy

Open paint, then edit & paste

Then save as, give it a name, change the file type from .bmp to .jpeg

mates 06sti ran 380ftlb with remap, decat and typhoon induction kit.

my own car is running about 20ftlb higher than norm (uk classic turbo) so tbh extra 30ftlb isn't that unbelieveable, after all, no two cars are the same
