Hi all,
Loving my first month of ownership of my scoob, fuel bills are huge but so is the grin on my face.....ear to ear
!!
Couple of questions though.
I would like to have some mudflaps fitted but the only ones that I have seen for sale will fit saloon only? Any advice on where I can buy/get some fitted. My wagon (MY03) is silver with hopefully soon to have colour coded side sills so any suggestions on mudflap colour would also help.
I would like to change the standard stereo head unit for smaller sony unit or similar, and am interested in having some gauges fitted in the space left by the smaller stereo as I am not keen on the dash mounted style. Do guys and gals know of any kits on the market for such a mounting?
I have a PPP fitted and love the extra power but am interested in having a high flow downpipe cat and green panel filter fitted so can you tell me if this is a daft idea
?
Thanks for any help and advice.
Mark

classic mudflaps will fit a wagon.
They're some single DIN 3 guage mounts on fleabay but you'll need to cut the stereo opening a little.
Go on, come to the dark side, decat it now! Real difference in power.

Thanks for that advice , I will look into classic mudflaps. Not sure about hacking away at my dash though! I really dont want to get a full decat downpipe but a high flow Cat, as I would like it to stay MOT and enviroment friendly...ish

If you do it carefully with something like a Dremil, it should not be hacking......

Hi Mark , another MY03 Stealth Wagon owner here.
I have these splash guards (not quite mud flaps) fitted up front that came from Subaru. Part No. J1010FE244 I think but do check.

And these on the back. Part No. J1010FE254 I think.

I have had my Wagon with PPP from new & prior to the warranty running out in March 03 all the mods were either cosmetic, handling, wheels or brakes etc.
When the warranty ran out I went for a H&S zorst (Group Buy) & a remap.
Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe (only 2 BHP loss over decat pipe & MOT friendly)
![](http://www.haywardandscott.com/shop/cw2/Assets/product_full/centre-pipe-with-hiflow-cat.jpg)
H&S Up pipe
![](http://www.haywardandscott.com/shop/cw2/Assets/product_full/up-pipe.jpg)
H&S Centre pipe straight through
![](http://www.haywardandscott.com/shop/cw2/Assets/product_full/classic_centrepipe.jpg)
Already have short section from PPP & Backbox.
![](http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/albums/album27/Prodriveexhuast.jpg)
Followed by a Tek3 re-map with Pat Herborn to get everything flowing nicely.
Resulting in :-
![](http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/albums/album27/AFTER_RE_MAP.sized.jpg)
290bhp up from 252bhp (PPP)
275lbft up from 263lbft (PPP)
Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.

Mark,
Thanks for that advice, 290bhp.....nice
Is the H&S back box less restrictive than the Prodrive number, Im assuming this set up is MOT friendly? Is it alot louder as I don't want anything too noisy?

Down pipe with a road legal 100 cell high flow cat, with only a 2bhp loss over a de-cat pipe.

The noise with this set up is more than with the PPP but less than the guys with full decats & large bore H&S back boxes.
Subaru Impreza New Age angled Jap style back box gives approx 2-3 bhp gain over conventional style back box. This is quite loud!!!

The back box is the original style Scooby design back box (similar to the PPP one). Centre and back box on its own will give 18Bhp. Complete de cat system will give 25bhp

All these shiny exhausts are making me drool.

What about this? Quad outlet back box - real extreme! I daren't think what it sounds like.
