Just Filled Up With Fuel
And it will not take more than 43Litres ..... therefore I reckon I have a 45 Litre tank.
Yet some on here say I have a 60 Litre tank???
MY2000 Classic UK car.
I get 380miles from a tank so thats 38mpg ...... but, if it is a 60 litre tank it will obviously be only 29mpg???
Confused ............

Pete,
I'm not gonna argue :
1) you have the finger on the button re our nuclear weapons
2) even more important, you are omnipotent as far as bad reps are concerned !

Nah ............ Bubba Po and I can wipe someone off the board with a carefully aimed 2 pronged attack - Simon is extremely small fry to us!
And yes, Simon, I know I have been told I have a 60 Litre tank but I can only ever get 43 Litres in ....... now, either my light/gauge is fooked - or I actually have a 45 Litre tank!?
If the light/gauge has failed it seems odd that it has failed a exactly the point at which 'other' capacity the Impreza had??

Surely this can't be a new problem Pete ? Haven't you had your car for 7 years ? Perhaps the fuel tank has shrunk ?
You'd normally have about 2 gallons when the low fuel level warning light comes on (AFAIR). 1 UK gallon = 4.544 litres
Anyway, I'm off to wash the Scoob.

The 'other' capacity that you mention was 50 litres but it was improved long before your car was built.
Are you overlooking the large reserve capacity, that remains when your low fuel lamp illuminates?

They said I had a 60 Litre tank - I believed them and just filled up whenever ignoring really what was what ..........
BUT, recently I have noticed that I can only get 43 Litres in!!!
Fact remains, of course, that I get 350 miles between 43 Litre fill ups .... that means I am getting 37 mpg, roughly!

But I should have a 60!!

I fill up to go to Cornwall or Yorkshire and its always around 40-45 Litres!
And for that I do about 380 miles before I need to stop for fuel again.
