3 port boost solenoid
I'm having the car mapped again in January so am in the process of gathering a few things to throw on on the day.
What is the best make/type 3 port boost solenoid and where is the cheapest place to get them?
I've put a post up in the wanted section so hopefully i will get one that way but failing that i will need to get one so.
cheers

Bob Rawle will supply on the day but they are expensive new as you probably know (circa £150.00 plus vat). I think the fact that Bob only uses the oem Subaru items speaks volumes.
I was lucky to get mine from a Classic (Sti V4 IIRC) Although the connectors were slightly different its easy enough to alter to fit a Newage.
Price was £40.00 which was a bit of a bargain.
The guy I bought mine off had two and I'm not too sure whether he managed to sell the other one. Might be worth an email in to him. User name was Andy Kindon.

No reply from Bob when asking for one from him, so eventually got the Subaru part from ScoobyMania, £120 + vat. (The same as BR uses)

The GM 3 port only has two wires and just needs splicing into the existing connection.
They are about $40 from the US inc shipping & duty.
I've used one for over a year with no problems.
Other ones from the US are the Perrin and Prodrive versions which are plugnplay but for about $100.
For the same money, UK breakers will have used OEM ones.

I can get hold of a brand new Prodrive solenoid at a good price. I'm guessing these are as good as any??

How you living with the induction noise RLE? I don't find the CAIK too bad. You can actually drive without hearing it if desired.
Mine's not gonna be complete now until 4/1/07. Shame!
(How about a photo shoot next year? Like rear-end to rear-end, only the wheel colour slightly different. Would be good)

Hi Gaz - hope everythings ok with you matey...............
Induction noise isn't too bad at all. I had visions of it being like the Powertec one I had on my classic. Audible from the car but not too bad from the outside to warrant an ASBO.
Thinking of shooting up your way sometime in the next 6 months for a drive on my favourite roads (Fort William way etc) so would be good to meet up
Sent you PM back Pippy

Not at all, it's just i will be putting a few extra bits on. Also Bob is known as being one of the best, if not the best in the business at Tek 3 mapping.
The milltek exhaust is great though i may well remove the sports cat as well - need to do a bit of research first

I haven't heard it from the outside yet, best get a fly-by done.
Aye, when you're coming up, let me know, that would be grand.
Don't forget to change your ASTs for OEM struts so i can keep up. And you can leave a bit of that torque at home too.
