Think he could have pushed a little harder... Just kidding....
The relaxed look on his face in that shot across the cockpit, you would have thought he was on a sunday afternoon drive as opposed to a WRC stage. Although the sleeves of his overalls had disappeared at that point!!!!
Great to watch.

The best man to ever grace the world rally scene in my opinion. He drove with seemingly effortless pace and his marriage with the subaru impreza was a truly awesome combination. I really miss his presence as i,m sure a hell of a lot of people do, WRC is not the same without him.

Saw him at the Rally GB a few times, and met him once at a signing. Typical of stories others also tell, he was anxious that a little kid waiting to meet him got safely inside the Mitsibishi hospitality area before they closed the doors on the queue as it was getting out of hand and he was running late.
I was always a Burns fan, back when it was McRae vs Burns in the Welsh forests at Rally GB. Colin would hate me saying this, but his WRC championship win feels more like a lucky fluke (first half of the 95 season he had no points, broke the cars and had a public ticking off from Richards), as opposed to Burns who won the WRC with a great deal of consistency.

He was indeed very good, that clip shows him in what i deem to be the best era for Subaru and rallying, certainly looks wise (IMHO...) .... all the rally cars since the classic have not seemed quite right to me....... shame really....
RIP!
Something odd going on in that video, the clip of him from the side shows him wearing a 'T' shirt... then later on his arms are covered....???
