Child Seats
Looking for a little help on the best fitting forward facing child seats for a 06 WRX STi.
I pick up my new car tomorrow (see attached). My son is 9months old and he has just about out grown his rear facing baby seat. He is ready for the next size seat (forward facing) and it would make sense to get a new seat for him as soon as possible after taking receipt of the car.
I have done all the usual background checks with regards seats that fit and checked which ones are ratest as the safest. It would apprear that either the Maxi-Cosi 'Priorifix' or the Britax 'Duo Plus ISOFIX' are the best available.
If anyione has any experience with either one of these seats (or any other brand), your comments would be appreciated.
cheers

New scoob's come with Isofix as standard. Should keep everything tidy.
On a side note, as we know, the leg room in the back isn't great, and when your kid has grown up a wee bit, he may be able to kick the seat in frount. This will wreck it after a while, so think about protecting it with something.

Would a mamas and papas pliko p3 car seat (with base) be ok in a MY00? Have absolutely no experience in these matters!
What's the deal with carrycots and cars, would it be better to put a new born into the car seat rather than the carrycot?

The mamas and papas system we're looking at is a full travel system. The seat should just click into the seat base which I assume is a semi permanent fixture in the car, ans also just click into the pushchair chassis. I'd imagine the Recaro seat wouldn't be compatible with the rest.

I use a Graco travel system in my Type R ideal for up to 9 months although im now in the same boat and have to start looking at the next size up which will need to be forward facing so i'll keep an eye on this thread with interest

The mamas and papas car seats dont get as good test results as the britax cosytot isofix (for 0-9months )so thats why we got the britax.
