its my first scooby and i am thinking of fitting a s/s exhaust. i have been offerd a great deal on a mongoose s/s from collins. as she specialises in ford i would like an opinion from scooby owners of the exhaust and whether to remove cats or just back box THANKS

Well if you want a performance gain and not just a nice noise I think you need to start doing away with the cats.
Start with the backbox and (2 piece, 1 cat) centre section. Then change the downpipe(decat) AND uppipe(decat). You'll proabably need to get the uppipe from scoobysport/tsl/ggr etc, not sure if mongoose do it?
At this point your WRX will start showing a CEL, catalyst not working optimally error. Scoobysport can sell a fix for this. Some other people recomend a piece of black tape to hide the CEL LOL
