I'm new to subaru's but I have always wanted one, mainly just for that growling engine sound.

Which Impreza models have that growl sound if a sports exhaust is fitted? e.g. would a 1999 2.0 litre Impreza GL estate be able to make that sound?

Just wondering which models make that sound so can look them up in the future

if you mean the 'burble' all cars with unequal length headers (do a search) so yes the sport would have it to a degree.

ITS FLAT 4 BURBLE (EQUAL LENGTH HEADERS), WONT BE AS NICE AS THE MANIC TURBO'D SCOOBY, BUT ITLL DO THE JOB

 

i had a MY98 sport that had sport back box fitted sounded nice.a mate had one without the sport back box fitted still sounded nice

 

thx for the replies! bootsy which exhaust did you have, was it really loud on idle? and if I got a impreza wagon would the exhaust choices be different?

i think itwas from a firm called chrome racing(not that i've heard of them)but it came with the car just not fitted.when fitted it was'nt over loud had the burble.the neighbours would still like you
i not sure of the diffrerents between a 4 door and a wagon
