Default runs bad on v power

The car is an my99 uk turbo and since changing from optimax to v power its a totally different car.
Uses more fuel- Instead of 50 miles to £10 its more like 40
Seems down on power - in 5th especially it seems to pull then stop then pull again as if something is blocked
Just generally slower and lumpy revving.

I tried bp but it was slightly worse i reckon and i also put some total i think it was. That was just called high octane in yellow writing and was at a service station down the m6 somewhere. That was really good and it felt back to its old self again just a shame its about 100 miles away and my two local petrol stations are shell or a tesco that only does 97 sul (not tried ).

When i bought the car from main dealer they reset the ecu and filled it with optimax and ive used it for last 2 years.
Do i just need to fill it with v power and go andhave it reset again? Will this sort it out do you think?

cheers leon

take your battery off over night to reset your ecu but go steady for a mile or two so the ecu can learn whats new dont floor it build up

Can you do it anyway with th alarm or the key? I had a transit van and to reset the ecu you put 2 pedals down at once and did some on and off type things with the key in ignition. Cant remember what exactly
