Bit of a wierdy one
Been doing this a couple of days now...
Every so often, perhaps once or twice in a journey, steering seems to wobble just a tiny bit...the best way to describe it is that it feels like momentarily the wheels have hit marbles/ice or something or that the wheels are detached from the car.
As I said its really wierd, don't know if its all in the mind tho'. Anyone help?
I've got a X reg classic turbo

Might be worth checking the ball joints on the bottom arms for play or the track rod ends.

Does it happen once you hit a certain speed? Normally around 50/60mph? If so, I would get the tyres checked and tracking. I have found when I've this problem in the past it normally down to needing new tyres and tracking etc. Simple!

What tyres have you got?
I found this with the pirelli assymetrico's I had on mine.
It's the tramlining effect due to the suspension being tied together, this gets worse when the tyres wear down a bit.
I changed to Toyo's and this has now disappeared.
I think some brands are worse than others for this and also uprated anti-roll bars and stut braces can enhance this as well.
