It wont damage anything, you will loose a few bhp because its restrictive to the flow

'At full chat' basically means going really fast!
And no, it will do no harm to the engine.
Can you feel the difference then?

When i had the afterburner/ninja combo, i got a bung for the long motorway journeys. Did make hell of a difference.

My car was tuned and i was advised by the mapper to not boot it with the bung in, because afterall, it was mapped without it and it is a restriction.

Confusion added, as two conflicting comments. Nothing new on here then

You could just buy a quieter backbox. Cus i can't see the point in keeping it and using the bung all the time. You wont get on the track and your numbered at home.

Keep your b/box and ignore the dibble, unless you live in a small village and your car is well known. If stopped again just tell them that you have changed it I doubt they would know that its the same one.
My vortex isnt that bad, is yours decatted aswell?

If yours was fully decatted ie-both cats removed (illegal)then that would explain it being overly loud, but if you say it still has one on,then it will be the one in the downpipe.
