Hi everybody just signed up I have a sti version 8 metallic black and I'am from Oxfordshire.

Welcome to Scobynet. However, no such thing as an Sti 8, the last of the numbered ones was 6. The new age ones are known by their model year (MY) e.g. MY03, MY04 etc.

Maybe not, but the MY03/04 is the same car = sti8.
Then you had the MY05 with interior/suspension/diff changes = sti9
Now we have the MY06 with the hawk eyes and 2.5 = sti10

So although not official, I still know what car he is on about.
