Just found scoobynet and have to say I didn.t realise there was so much helpfull stuff available from like minded people. Glad to have found you all. One quick question will I notice the difference from a de-cat pipe. I already have a big free flowing exhaust apart from that bit. It's a 93 import turbo impreza with a few mods. Thanks

It is believe me!

But you will require a remapafter fitting, uprated fuel pump. sports exhaust including decat centre and if you want to pass the mot a sports cat downpipe rather than decat d/pipe.

All that sounds bloody expensive is that what cost you £900 or will that lot caost me loads more?
Not overly worried about the MOT i can get that sorted, plus i have got full 12 months till it's due again.

A decat d/p has no cat in it and the sports cat d/p has a high flow cat in it, that performs almost as good, if not as good as a decat, but is legal.

Can't answer the headers Q, but I would be taking it back to the same place and exchanging pleasantries with the MOT er.
A decat generally = MOT fail

If you are tight like I am, source the parts carefully 2nd hand.

My price list....

Vortex b/box = 150
Vortex centre = 90
Prodrive centre decat = 50
Prodrive fuel pump = 50 (new)
Prodrive sports cat d/pipe = 150 (new) + 100 fitting
Free flew panel filter = 10
Remap @ Powerstation = 646 in vat.

Total = Quite a bit, but not as much as some ot the packages available and with the exhaust of my choice.

I'm going to give it a go and c what happens. I'll keep the cat then I can put it back for the MOT. Hopefully it'll sound better too!
