Ask the buyer if you can see a settlement letter from the finance company, then simply make a cheque payable to them for the amount outstanding, make sure that the receipt says on it that you have done this and get the seller to sign it as well to this effect!

Ah, you missed those 4 little words .....

Reserve not yet met

No not mine, Milton Keynes - MY01

No reason you shouldn't ask essex_driver for an idea of what the reserve is, some people will tell you some won't. Just use the "Ask seller a question" link on the auction.

All the normal warnings about buying secondhand cars apply to auction sites as well, if not more so. They do however say they will accept escrow which offers some measure of protection.

I've only used AB for 7500 service, PPP and to fix a minor problem with an ABS sensor. No problems with any of that.

That P1 has been on e-bay for ever...and with that 'reserve' its likely to stay there as well!

I think the P1 belongs to a fella on here called P1 Media or something similar anyway.

Question

With reference to my original post the reserve price is £11,000...Not bad i say to my self, what is the catch...
(seller informs me he has outstanding hp on the car, which he intends to pay off whan car is sold)....hmmm.....

So the new question is ::

Do i touch it with a barge pole or not ????

P.s Reg no: V996 D*H

Anyone know who it belongs to ???
