Question

I've seen at car scoob 4 sale at Anthony Bett's
Red 4 door blah blah blah with rac trakstar with lifetime membership.
Having looked at rac trakstar website it states lifetime subscription not transferable.
Is this true ??
If so AB's have a misleading ad on subaru.co.uk

I think if the RAC say it isn't transferable then it isn't transferable

I spoke to Trackstar recently, in particular about their 3 year 0% deal with lifetime subscription and was told specifically that the subscription was not transferable to another person OR another car. If I changed cars after a year then I could pay to have the unit removed and re-installed but would have to take out another subscription as £120 pa.

I have their subscription agreement in front of me, the exact words are (allowing for typos):

Lifetime Subscription* to Monitoring Service

*Lifetime applies to original subscriber and original vehicle only.
Also in the terms and conditions, section 11.2

Where a "lifetime" subscription has been taken outthen the Agreement will automatically terminate at the time the Subscriber disposes of the original Vehicle.

i think the lifetime subscription is to the original owner who for a small fee of around 150 quid can transfer it to their next car (the unit)

A lifetime membership for the vehicle would just be too reasonable.

FYI annual subsciption is currently £112.
