Your car already has a re-circulating dump-valve. Nothing wrong with that.
A VTA dump valve, like the one you're on about, will vent the air to the atmosphere, making the ptshh sound.
This ecu will add the amount of fuel for the volume of air it measured with the maf sensor. If some of the air has been lost, the mixture will be rich, possible leading to momentary 'bore-wash'.
You'll also experience pops and bangs from the exhaust on over-run.
Basically, you will be making the car run less efficent.
When I fitted one (big mistake but I will own up to it!), it actually caused more lag in between gear changes and made the car very jerky when applying or coming off the throttle.

PLEASE HIT THE CAPS BUTTON! YOU KEEP SHOUTING!
And I wouldn't call the 'whoosh' a gain.
Plus you'll suffer all the downsides that I mentioned. But, its your money.
