Default Super Unleaded

I used to put in Shell Optimax, & was well pleased & could feel the difference. Over the last 12 months round our way, all the Shells are now BP's.

Can't get on with their Ultimate.

I'm putting in their normal stuff and, it's going OK. I can't tell the difference.

Still can't make up my mind if it's as good as the old Optimax.

Anyone got an opinion on this??

Most standard UK cars run fine on normal unleaded. PPP/ imports/ mapped cars require super for maximum performance.

the tescos south of worcester sells 97ron, had to put some of that in when visting the folks at xmas. didn't really notice much difference over the 99 I usually use. mind you that tank did get gobbled up on the motorway so not a good test but did get 10% better mpg

When i first bought my jdm sti 03, i thought it would of been alright to use BP ultimate etc. and it just fully nailed it, it put the car in limp mode and was only giving me around 0.2 bar of boost. Used v-power from then onwards now iv got 1.44 bar !!

BIG Difference.

Only place in town that has Super is Tesco and its not 99.

Shell garage closed but V Power wasn't as good for mine as Optimaz (TEK2 UK turbo)

Seems OK with Tesco SUL. BP in the next town and it seemed happy enough on Ultimate.

Want to upgrade to VF35 and will get it mapped on Tesco SUL and a bottle of millers - maybe.

The rest of you don't get oil in your swimming trunks either! Having watched the news last night most of the people they interviewed didn't have a local accent either, so how's your new motorbike, bit greasy?
