My nearside headlamp glass has been hit by a stone ... a tiny hole but a larger chunk broken off inside.

Its on the lower edge - I'll post a pic when I can ..... could it be an MOT failure?

Whats the price of a new glass?

If its made a hole then yes an MOT failure

 

Hubby is an MOT inspector he says if it doesn't effect the beam pattern it is not a failure.

I did think it may have been dependant on beam pattern and as its at the bottom I don't think it will affect it.

It is a tiny hole - but the chip out the rear is a chunk

BTW the X was a nice touch

 

Headlight bulbs won't last long once water gets in there though so make sure you seal it up.

 

Seal it with a small piece of clear Duck tape, a small amount of epoxy resin, or even clear silicone.

GradeA at Hayfield in the High Peak may have a spare
